Justus Hillebrand finished his B.A. and M.A. in History at the University of Cologne in 2014 and has been pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Maine since then. He began his interest in the history of agricultural knowledge and rural modernity during his MA and is now focussing his dissertation research on how institutions of agricultural learning Maine and Westphalia translated between transatlantic and peripheral networks of agricultural knowledge. Digital and Spatial History plays an influential role in his own research as well as his work with the Holocaust Geographies Collaborative.
